Who Is Kaylee Kemp?
Your wedding day deserves to be remembered exactly how it felt
You are not just planning a wedding. You are planning one of the most meaningful days of your life.
The deep breath before you walk down the aisle.
The way your partner looks at you when no one else is paying attention.
The quiet moments between the chaos.
The laughter you will remember for the rest of your life.
Those are the moments that matter.
Your wedding photos should not just show what the day looked like. They should bring you right back to how it felt to live it.
That is where I come in.
I am Kaylee, the photographer behind Through Her Lens Photography. My job is to document your wedding day in a way that feels natural, emotional, and completely true to your story.
If you are looking for a photographer who values real moments more than perfect poses, you are in the right place.

How I Got Here To Where I Am Today
Photography has been part of my life long before it became my career. I was the kid taking photos on an iPod before winning my first real camera during a high school photography competition. Once I picked it up, I never really put it down.
These days life looks a little different. My husband and I run a small farm filled with animals we love like they’re our own kids. We were recently married ourselves, which means I understand firsthand how meaningful and emotional a wedding day really is. That experience changed the way I photograph couples. I know how important it is to feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely excited when you’re in front of the camera.
For a long time I worked a traditional office job, but after our wedding I realized something important. Watching our photographer and videographer work showed me what it looks like to truly love what you do. That moment pushed me to take the leap and build my own photography business.
Now I spend my days documenting couples the way I wish every couple could experience their wedding day. Relaxed, supported, and fully present in the moment.
You will probably hear me say it at some point during your session or wedding day. I love love. Not the staged kind. The real smiles. The quiet moments. The way your partner looks at you when no one else notices.
That is the kind of story I want to capture for you.
If you are looking for someone who will guide you when you need it, hype you up when you are nervous, and document your day in a way that feels real and effortless, you are in the right place.
I would love to hear about what you are planning.
My Approach to Photographing Weddings
The best photos happen when you feel comfortable enough to be fully present.
You will never hear me asking you to stand stiffly or force awkward poses. Instead I guide you through natural prompts that allow you to interact with each other in a way that feels genuine.
Sometimes that means walking together through golden light.
Sometimes it means laughing through nerves before the ceremony.
Sometimes it simply means stepping away from everyone for a quiet moment together.
My goal is always the same. To capture your wedding day as it truly unfolds.
Because years from now, what will matter most are the moments that were real.
